Deadline Day is here! The day where more money is spent than the GDP of a small nation and the day where more rumours fly around more than on any other day. It’s the day where Harry Redknapp is stalked by Sky Sports and Arsenal fans stay glued to the tellybox and interweb only to normally be disappointed. But is that going to be the case this year?
Sky Sports News (and everyone else) are now reporting that Manchester United have now entered the race to sign Mesut Ozil in news that will be a massive kick in the teeth for Arsenal. Interestingly however, it was rumoured early this morning that United had already made a move, but failed with their wage offer (with Arsenal offering more – and yes – I’m shocked as well).
As we said earlier though, this certainly isn’t over yet (and to make everything more confusing – the BBC sport team are reporting that United haven’t made a move)
Update: Sky Sports News have now got their act together and confirmed that United ARE NOT in for Ozil
