According to a number of reports in the Italian media Napoli are looking at moving for Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud after they failed to make any headway in their attempts to sign Jackson Martinez.
No doubt, should Napoli decide to move, they will be rebuffed by Arsenal in the same way that Valencia were when they came calling in a bid to replace new Tottenham signing Roberto Soldado.
Giroud has no desire to leave Arsenal where he is getting ready to enjoy his second season at the club and while Arsenal are shipping out players left right and centre, the Frenchman is one of the core of first team players who will not be going anywhere.
At this time of the summer links appear all over the place and many of them have absolutely no validity whatsoever.
Writer for the site, Andi Foster, will be publishing a post soon which will track all of the players Arsenal have been linked with since October and keeping an eye on them as they move around Europe. So far he has found that Arsenal have been linked with 222 players in the press during the past ten months and have signed three of them [Monreal, Sanogo, Crawley].
