According to the Mirror Arsenal are looking at the possibility of bringing in Manchester City’s Micah Richards [who is a Gooner] with Roma also interested in the Englishman.
They also say that Manchester City are set to offer the defender a new deal and with two years left on his current City contract you can imagine that the asking price isn’t going to be too Arsenal-friendly if we are interested.
Richards only played seven matches for City last season and is said to be considering his future as he looks for more game time, while Arsenal are said to be preparing for life after Bacary Sagna at the end of next season.
Arsenal were linked with the player by the same paper in March after they claimed that Sagna was likely to leave for PSG. We now know that’s not the case as Sagna seems set to see out his contract at the club so it begs the question – how reliable is the rest of their information.?
Based on the Mirror’s track record when it comes to Arsenal, you’d be inclined to say ‘not very.’
