Arsenal’s on loan striker Park Chu-Young refused to turn up for Celta Vigo’s last match of the season and has been fined, bringing his unsuccessful time in Spain to a messy end. A reason has not been given.
The forward, who is perhaps Arsene Wenger’s most bizarre signing, played only 740 minutes for Celta Vigo, and while he netted three times [against Getafe, Mallorca and Deportivo La Coruna] his loan seems as pointless as his signing for Arsenal in the first place.
The forward would seem to have no future at Arsenal and it is unclear where the South Korean player will end up and if Arsenal will be able to find a buyer for the international or if they will be sending him out on loan again.
From him disappearing from his hotel after completing one part of a medical for Lille to pulling on an Arsenal shirt for eight minutes against Manchester United, nothing about this transfer has ever really made sense.
