The agent of young Italian goalkeeper Mattia Perin claims Arsenal are one of a number of top European clubs looking at signing the player.
The 20-year-old has impressed on loan from Geona at Pescara this season and has caught the eye of the likes of Juventus, AC Milan and Barcelona.
However, his agent Matteo Roggi insists there is an agreement in place for the youngster to stay at Genoa for at least one more season.
Speaking to tuttomercatoweb.com, he said:
“There are many clubs interested in him: Arsenal, Barcelona, AC Milan. It has also been said about Juventus, Napoli and Roma.
“Currently, however, there is only one certainty about Mattia’s future: he will return to Genoa at the end of his loan and there is a mutual intention for him to spend at least one season in a Genoa shirt.
“Just a month ago we extended his contract until 2017 and Mattia’s cost is at least €20 million. I am 99 per cent sure he will be Genoa’s goalkeeper next season.”
Arsenal could do with an extra option in goal after some indifferent performances from Wojciech Szczesny and Vito Mannone this season, as well as continued injury problems with Lukasz Fabianski.
