Reported Arsenal target Younes Belhanda wants to leave Montpellier in the summer and fancies a move to England, Italy or Spain, according to Talksport.
The 23-year-old has been linked with the club before, as well as other big names such as Manchester United and Inter Milan, as he continues to impress in Ligue 1.
Arsene Wenger has always been known to keep an eye on the best young talent emerging in France, and might be put on alert after these comments made by Belhanda to French radio:
“My dream is to play for a Champions League club. I am a born competitor and in countries like England, Spain and Italy, there are big clubs that I would like to play one day.”
The Moroccan is a midfield playmaker very much in the Arsenal mould, but this isn’t exactly a position that we’re short of quality in just at the moment. The likes of Wilshere, Cazorla and Podolski have done well in a similar role this season, and it’s really further back in the more defensive midfield positions that we’re a little short in.
Belhanda will probably be linked with a host of clubs as the summer approaches, and we’re bound to have our name thrown in as well, still I can’t see him being a priority for us.
