Arsenal’s Lukas Podolski recently gave an interview to the magazine ‘Kicker’ in which he talked about being drawn against Bayern Munich in the Champions League as well as his first few months at Arsenal and his hopes for the future within the German national team.
“This is an absolute dream draw. I look forward to Hoeness [Bayern president], Jupp Heynckes, Franck Ribery and my colleagues from the national team. However, there is a small disadvantage is that we are playing at home first. If you want to win the trophy, you have to take the opponents as they come.
“I have also settled in [at Arsenal] well. [Wenger is] a super coach and human. He speaks to everyone internally and has a clear philosophy about the inner-workings of the club. The people are very respectful. Here I will not followed when I leave the training ground, Just because I have not made a couple of games [for the German national side] from the beginning, I do not doubt my quality to the national team play in the starting eleven can. He [Loew] told me that I will take in the future play an important role in the team.”
