It is incredibly fashionable to criticise anything Arsenal related at the minute and there are some out there who are just not missing the chance. That being said, Lukas Podolski has been found wanting recently when playing for Arsenal, only poorer performances from the likes of Gervinho and Aaron Ramsey shielding him from more widespread critisicm.

But his performances have not eluded Arsenal legend Ian Wright who told Absolute Radio

Can I say something about the Podolski? I remember when he signed guys, I remember saying ‘yes, you know Podolski’s done well’ but you know he went to Bayern Munich, didn’t happen for him. This is what I’m saying, if you’ve got 100 and odd caps, 106 caps for Germany by the time you’re 27, 28, you’re not supposed to go to Bradford and get taken off.

To be fair to Podolski, he gets taken off in every match, not just against lower league opposition.
