Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong, currently on loan with Charlton Athletic, suffered alleged racial abuse at the weekend at the hands (or mouths of Millwall fans at the Den at the weekend.
Frimpong, who was an unused substitute, was allegedly on the receiving end of the abuse along with fellow substitute Danny Haynes.
A spokesperson for Chartlon, speaking to the Sun, said afterwards that the club will offer the players their full backing if they wish to take the matter further although at the point no information has been made available regarding exactly what is alleged to have been said to the pair.
At present, no decision has been made regarding if either player will wish to take the matter further however Frimpong tweeted after the game
“If I didn’t no what a racist man ever look like . . . surely found that out at millwall today #ruthless fans”

However he quickly deleted the tweet.
