Arsenal youngster loving more advanced position

Since joining Crewe on loan, Arsenal youngster Chuks Aneke has found the net three times, once with his head, once with his right and once with his left, however none of this has surprised the confident player who said that he has always had a knack of finding the net.

Speaking to This is Staffordshire, he said

“I was pleased with my strike against Wycombe. As it left my left foot I knew it was flying in, and hopefully there’s a few more like that to come. It wasn’t planned to score with my left foot, right foot and head, but that’s how it’s happened. But I’m confident, however a chance presents itself.

“I’m a happy man at the moment and I’ll be even happier if we can get three points at Doncaster.”

More used to playing as a midfielder, Chuks has found himself pushed further forward due to injuries and he said

“I’m enjoying this position. It gives me a chance to play passes that can lead directly to goals and to get on the scoresheet myself. I enjoy being a playmaker. League One takes a bit of getting used to, but experience helps. I’ve come to Crewe to get minutes under my belt and I feel like I’m learning a lot.”
