Diaby, Koscielny and Giroud included in French squad

Didier Deschamps announced his French national squad today for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers and it includes three Arsenal players: Abou Diaby, Olivier Giroud and Laurent Koscielny.

Reports on the internet today suggest that Deschamps received a call from Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger confirming that Koscielny had returned to training and was fit to be selected after he was recovered from an injury which he picked up in the run up to France’s last friendly even though he has not yet featured for Arsenal in the Premier League this season.

Diaby has been selected after finally returning to the Arsenal squad after a number of lengthy injury lay-offs while Olivier Giroud sees his Ligue 1 form and impressive start to his Premier League career rewarded with another call up.

France will play Finland on September 7th and Belarus on 11th September.
