According to Spanish paper Marca there will be no decision on the Nuri Sahin transfer deal, which sees Arsenal and Liverpool both chasing the players signature, until next week.
Sahin’s agent was reported to have left the Bernabeu without reaching an agreement and the player still wants a move to Arsenal where he will get Champions League football while the club would still rather he went to Liverpool due to Mourinho’s close ties with Brendan Rodgers.
Liverpool’s bid for the player has been accepted while Arsenal have also submitted a bid which has not been withdrawn.
It was believed that Arsenal trying to sign Sahin would largely depend on Alex Song’s future at the club and as Song is expected to leave Arsenal very soon, Arsenal would like to make Sahin their fourth summer signing.
Sahin’s agent, Reza Fazeli will resume talks with Madrid next week when the final destination for the Turkish midfielder will be decided.
