It was bad enough that Robin van Persie, while claiming to be an Arsenal fan, said he was ‘honoured to sign for Manchester United’ as he completed his £24m move but then to have our former captain, who screwed us to go to Barcelona tweet:

Was a step too far.

These players claim to be Arsenal fans yet would an Arsenal fan do what they’ve done? Would they say what they’ve said?

Cesc could have quite easily tweeted he was sad to see van Persie leave Arsenal, the club they both claim to love.  He could have texted him privately to wish him well but the lack of awareness either of these players have about what it *actually* means to be an Arsenal fan is sickening.

They tell you they love you while they are punching you in the face hoping that all you’ll notice is their words.  Once upon a time Arsenal fans might have believed you when you said you were fans just like us, but not any more.  There’s only so many times you can beat us before we actually realise the truth. You love no-one but yourselves.

Good riddance to them both.
