Didier Deschamps has revealed that Lauren Koscielny will more than likely be withdrawn from the French squad ahead of the meaningless friendly which couldn’t be happening at a more inconvenient time, as he has suffered a calf strain.

Deschamps said

Everybody has arrived this morning and everybody is in good health. We have a problem with Laurent Koscielny who has a problem with his calf. He will be examined this afternoon but it seems difficult to play him on Wednesday.

That’s how you know the season is close you know, Arsenal players start dropping.  Since the weekend we had already learned that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will miss England’s friendly with an ankle problem.

I’d like to think that these issues were Arsenal ‘playing the game’ but knowing our history you know this is just the start of the most promising Arsenal squad have had in a number of years falling apart.
